Overall
The Texans rebounded from a 17-10 deficit to score 10 unanswered points to earn a win that gave them a one-game lead over the Colts. Grade: A-minus.
Quarterbacks
After a slow start, Deshaun Watson bounced back with 298 yards and did a terrific job of connecting with DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller down the field. Grade: B
Running backs
Carlos Hyde’s 33-yard run started the game-winning touchdown drive. Duke Johnson contributed a 19-yard run. Grade: B-minus
Receivers/tight ends
DeAndre Hopkins had touchdown catches of 35 and 30 yards. Will Fuller had 44-yard and 51-yard catches and a crucial third down reception to secure the win. Grade: A
Offensive line
The line recovered from the abysmal performance at Baltimore with excellent pass protection and solid run blocking. Grade: B-plus
Defensive line
They contributed to the Colts rushing for 175 yards but were able to contain the run over the last 1½ quarters. Grade: B-minus
Linebackers
They were inconsistent against the run but got it together midway through the third quarter. Their coverage was solid. Grade: B
Defensive backs
They helped limit Jacoby Brissett to 129 yards and a 76.9 rating despite Justin Reid, Bradley Roby and Lonnie Johnson Jr. not playing. Grade: B-plus
Special teams
Ka’imi Fairbairn kicked two field goals. Bryan Anger averaged 47 yards. Coverage was outstanding. DeAndre Carter had solid returns. Grade: B
Coaching
This was a game Bill O’Brien and his assistants had to have. After a slow start, they watched their team pull out a comeback victory. Grade: B-plus
