The Spanish Royal Family Released Their Adorable Christmas Card for 2019 - TownandCountrymag.com

Like many families around the holidays, the Spanish royal family is celebrating the festive season by sharing an adorable holiday greeting. King Felipe and Queen Letizia just unveiled the sweet snap they chose for their 2019 Christmas card, featuring the royals alongside their daughters Princess Leonor and Princess Sofia.

The casual family photo was reportedly taken in October, when the royals visited Asiegu in northern Spain. The family opted to forgo a festive red and green holiday outfits—instead, 14-year-old Leonor and 12-year-old Sofia each wore chic trench coats for the occasion, while Letizia wore a navy coat.

Along with the photo, the family shared a greeting for the holiday season and new year written in both Spanish and English, complete with the signatures of Felipe, Letizia, Leonor and Sofia.

Last year, Felipe and Letizia released a similarly casual holiday greeting, showing the family of four on a visit to Asturias. It was a significant trip for the royals: it marked Leonor's first official visit to the principality. Leonor is the Princess of Asturias, a title given to the heir apparent, so it was a meaningful visit for the young royal in particular.

Beyond holiday cards, the supremely photogenic family routinely releases adorable portraits. Earlier this year, Felipe, Letizia, Leonor, and Sofia posed for several photos while on holiday in Mallorca, which were set in the scenic gardens of Marivent Palace.

Felipe and Letizia aren't the only members of the Spanish royal family who just unveiled their holiday cards for the year: Felipe's parents, King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia, also shared their Christmas greeting, featuring a crisp photo of the couple at an engagement.
